Views on the future operation of the Register
UNROCA is a vital instrument for creating transparency in the international trade of conventional weapons. It is Germany's view that it should be as comprehensive as possible, notably concerning the inclusion of SALW as an obligatory category. It is also important to keep track with technological and strategic developments, which is why Germany supports the explicit reporting of armed and unarmed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in categories 4 and 5 of UNROCA.
