Modification of the regulation governing control of exports of military and dual use technology by Real Decreto 494/2020 (28/04/2020)
The present modification of export control regulation is carried out in order to intensify controls on the export of defense and law enforcement equipment in certain cases, considering the sensitivity of the operation and national interests. These additional controls include post shipment verification mechanisms and a new end user certificate that includes a clause on post shipment verification of the exported goods. The implementation of such aditonal control will be decided by the Spanish Licensing Committe (JIMDDU) with the prior knowledge and collaboration of the recipient governments and end users.
